Meet Dr. Pottanat
CHILD & ADOLESCENT PSYCHIATRIST, FOUNDER & DIRECTOR
Originally from Indiana, Dr. Pottanat relocated to New York City for his training in General Psychiatry at the Metropolitan Hospital Residency Program. During his residency, he completed training in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy at the Psychoanalytic Institute.
Subsequently, he relocated to Boston for his Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship at Harvard Medical School/Boston Children's Hospital.
Dr. Pottanat is committed to providing comprehensive and innovative treatment options to his patients. At McLean Hospital, he serves as the Medical Director of the 3East Dialectical Behavior Therapy Residential Programs, which offer intensive dialectical behavior therapy for adolescents and young adults with a history of self-harm and suicide. Dr. Pottanat has received training in Psychedelic-Assisted Therapies and Research through the Center for Integrative and Interventional Studies (CIIS) and specific training in Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) through Psychedelic Therapy Boston's training program. Additionally he holds the position of Instructor in Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School.
Previously, in 2016, Dr. Pottanat spearheaded and directed one of the pioneering non-academic Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) centers in the Boston area. He is a member of the Clinical TMS Society's Research Committee.
