She taught Biology at Brookline High School and while there, developed new curricula in the areas of nutrition and human reproduction, supervised many student teachers, and received the Outstanding Biology Teacher of Massachusetts award. As an instructor at Simmons College, she co-taught the graduate level science teaching methods course for over a decade. She served as a faculty advisor at Lesley College and UMass and consulted for WBGH, Prentice Hall and Planned Parenthood. Barbara received her health coaching credentials in 2016 from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition and went on to start her own business, A Better Balance Health and Wellness.
As BPN’s health coach, she is able to merge her prior background as a science educator with her work and life experiences, helping others overcome their lifestyle challenges. She believes that as you learn how to balance the different aspects of your life, you’ll feel better, both physically and emotionally. Ultimately, this balance will allow you to meet your health and wellness goals.
